all I gotta say is, too sweet.
that thing is niiiiice. either that or a
na supra with a turbo conversion... yummy
but then I'd miss the AWD, so, if tuners
can pump some real power out of the Lancer,
Mitsu, here I come!

whatever. lancer evo VII will likely be tuned down for the US market...
what isn't!?!
I'd rather get a scooby WRX STI -- which will kick some *** stock for stock at a decent price with some WRC heritage to boot. Not that I would

not by much.
talking to the guy who drives the US and Jap
versions. He drove the Jap version in to the
Auto Show. Apparently, it isn't tuned down much
at all. Besides, whoever said anything about
a stock Evo VII??
scooby's ugly... and you gotta be kidding by
saying the Lancer doesn't have heritage.. on
top of that, the Evo VII prolly won't be very
expensive.

Not so says Motortrend.
Check this out:

Look at the price and the horsepower "rating." Looks the same to me. I heard rumors of a smaller intercooler for the US to meet crash standards, and that was about it, and even that is still a rumor. Who cares though, I'd put a bigger turbo and intercooler on that thing anyways and get 400hp easily. Tempting.

I never said the evo VII didn't have any heritage...
geez. I've watched enough events and played enough rally video games to know that. My favorite car on rallisport challenge is the evo VI.
I just like the scooby better if I were to own one.
so back off before I bitch slap your ***. punk.

actually...
I've heard different from many people...mainly a guy named Larry Volohm who lives in portland and owns a sport quattro, Evo6.5...not to mention every other Group B rally car ever made. He drove a new WRX and his Evo 6.5 at PIR and proclaimed his 6.5 was much more tossable...and beleive me, when I say tossable, it's an understatement. I took a ride for 3 laps in that thing and we were sideways the ENTIRE TIME. He also drove a fairly set up WRX to compare.
Needless to say, I like the design of the Evo7 much more. Single turbocharging an engine with two banks (WRX) is really not that efficient, if they were really smart they would twin turbocharge it...the single turbo setup it comes with stock is somewhat of a plumbing nightmare. Matrix from portland, OR has been working (shhh on a twin turbo'd 2.5RS for awhile now, I don't know what the status of it is at the moment, but it's defintely a VERY good idea.
So, I like the single turbo on a single bank (inline 4) engine (Evo7) idea much more, and I also like the fact it'll probably be at least 5k cheaper and a tad faster stock. I could go on and on but imo the Evo7 is a better car for less money.
