Default all of those corrugations bother me for such a piece at the TBB

I would rather use the stepless ear clamp, which is what is stock and has less going on in the inner ring.

Default What about the other 3 clamps on the TBB that are the screw type?...

The above pic was just a representation of a screw type clamp. There are screw clamps that don't have the corrugations, if that bothers you.

Default sure, e.g., those pictured there look like what you are referring to

also the revised stock screw clamps on the TBB seem ok or better. I'm not convinced its the revised clamps tearing now so much as the TBB contributing to it.

I just don't like unnecessary metal placed against a pressurized hose. Those screw clamps on my boat engine tear into the hoses to some extent, and there isn't pressurized water flowing through those hoses. All I was saying is a semi-expandable boot that is subject to high temps and charged air should probably have smoother clamps on them, like the stock ones or the MTM ones there or the ones AMS provides.

The MTM material is probably so reinforced that it may not be that much of an issue, but I wouldn't risk it.

Default screw clamps of that size, tend to form an oval when tighten, bad sealing

that's why there are many more ear-clamps, in that small a size than screw-clamps
