Default from shop...I'm so pissed! More (MD/DC please read)

Well, I took my car into the dealer about last week because after doing a 140MPH run with some VeeDubs, my car was smoking. Something was leaking out of the engine area and burning off on the cats. On top of that, I had the ABS and Brake lights coming on. I checked the manual and after reading the caution about the ABS system, I decided to take the car into the dealer. Well, I called them yesterday, the leak is fixed. But they stopped all work on the ABS system (which they said had a "hard fault") because they opened the ECU to find an aftermarket chip. I was soooo pissed! I didn't even think I had one. I was suspicious, because I was spanking the hell out of other Stock S4's, but apparently, the person before me had put the ****TY T.A.P. chip in there. So my car was running and .8 bar instead of .7. I think I have a previous post regarding this. The thing is, that I didn't buy this car from and Audi Dealer. I bought it from a small dealer in NJ which was probably the most horrible customer service experience in my life. Anyway, the Audi Dealer where I was having the car serviced said that the chip wasn't even soldered in correctly and that it was loose. This may be cause the fault in the ABS system. Sorry...I just need to bitch. So a couple questions for you guys.

Does anyone in the DC/MD area have a STOCK chip that I can put in the car to see if that will fix my problem? I would really appreciate it. I'll buy dinner.

Does anyone have a full ECU w/ performance chip that I can buy? I'm looking for APR w/ all progs, ABT, or GIAC Xchip. Thanks in advance.

Chris

Default How long would you need the ecu for?

I don't have a spare A box, but if you want to do a quick test run with the ecu from my car, i'll be in the balto area this weekend.

Default Hey! "Slow kind?" You should know better.....

....it's all the same when you're driving 100 yards through 3-foot potholes to the next in an endless series of stoplights.

>cursing wife yet again for refusing to buy 6-spd...<

;-P
