Default The shop that installed my TrackSports said the kit did not come with the new perches and had to...

modify the stock perches for the kit. Then he said that the car was as low as it would go, mind you it was 2 finger in the back and tiny bit lower in the front (how I wanted it). But this worried me because of people having the ability to go lower and mine not being able to. Is this something to be worried about? Should I have the new perches?

Default The scoop...

Fronts:
Upper perch needs to be modified. On the lower end of the spring, the spring rests right on the spanner.

Rears:
Remove upper rubber isolator, and install CNC'd upper spring perch supplied. On the lower end of the spring, the spring rests right on the spanner. The spanner will turn below the existing threads, because the threads in the spanner sleeve extend up to the top of the sleeve. So feel free to adjust the car lower. My guess is the installer got a little freaked when he could no longer see threads on the shock body, and stopped adjusting the perch. On most coilovers, that would be prudent. With this kit, you still have ~1.5" of room to adjust down.

Default so in conclusion, you're telling me I dont need to change anything.

I don't want he car any lower, just making sure the kit is how it's supposed to be.

Default No, I'm telling you how the kit should be installed.

I'm still not clear (based on your description) what the installer did or did not modify, so I'll let you read my post, and decide for yourself what needs to be addressed (if anything). Or, you could take pictures of the work, post them, and someone will chime in and let you know if it's okay.

Default First tell me why you want to know.

What are you doing?? Did you get your hands on a TS kit and not share with the class?
