Default Since I have no job....

I was gonna do some recordings of my car :-)

run a small mic into the engine bay and record it, and then one to the back of the car somewhere (exhaust)... or in the trunk... etc... record them to my laptop or somesuch...

I'm guessing people would be interested? :-)

Default Make sure you have a sponge or similar wind resistive material on the microphone...

And don't clip it on the end of the tailpipe for obvious reasons :-)

The best place, I have found for the engine is on the passenger side where there are 2 grommets. Point the microphone downwards.

You can always amplify the sound digitally later. It's better than having a lot of distortion due to exceedingly high levels.

Default Yep... engine bay should be easy to find a (decently) wind-free spot...

but I'll try to buffer the mic w/ something...

Why can't I clip the mic in the tailpipe?!?!?!?

;-)

Default My engine loves my abuse! Well, maybe not... but it hasn't complained too much -- yet?

I wonder when I'm gonna have to put in the order for K04's... *sigh*

Default The turbo question is something everyone is asking unfortunately......

some, more than others...like my friend down there...poor guy. You can tell at least his bank 1 turbo is wailing like crazy too. He's building slightly less boost and much later than normal.

Default Honestly, I have _NO_ idea why my turbos didn't explode thousands of miles ago :-)

But, I'm not complaining!!

/me finds the biggest piece of wood around to knock on!
