Skip Barber - re-done
Sorry about that. Didn't realize I published the wrong version. Here are the scroll bars on the left for all those people not running 1600x1200.
Thanks,
Alan deJesus

This was the racing school, not driving school right?
Are there requirements for getting into the racing school? I was planning to do SB, next year, thinking of the driving school plus the car control clinic for my first "formal" instruction. What were you in. I understand the reasons why, but spending time in Neons, pickups and Vipers just doesn't appeal to me since they are so completely opposite of anything I'll ever own or drive.

Pickups are used to master the art....
of correcting an oversteer skid in the Driving School. Their light rear ends are equipped with short tires to make it easy to break the rear end loose on the skidpad. True, Neons and Vipers are not hi-perf AWD cars. But the skills of braking, energency maneuvers, heel and toe downshifting, keeping the car balanced and learning the proper raceline through the turns can be transferred to the vehicle of your choice. I took the 2 day Driving School in 1998. Had a blast and learned _a lot_. Last year when my FWD car's rear end slid out in Turn 3 at Road America, I applied what I learned on the RWD pickup and fortunately was able to correct the skid. Skip's Racing school uses open wheel Formula type cars with non-synchro straight cut gearboxes, about the farthest removed from a street car as you can get!

Sweeeet!
I got a treat in that the BRIC was rolling in and I got to see and hear a lot of cool cars as they came in for tech on my last day, Wednesday. Hope you have as much fun as I did.
Alan deJesus
