They rock on my A8. Can't wait to see how they do in the S4.

Default why oem? it was a flawed design

I thought audi updated their tie rod ends? Either way I can't see why you'd use oem. I flew to FL to buy my S4, and drove it 875 miles home with bad oem tie rods. The passenger side tire was shot by the time I got home. So my first "mod" was two new front tires and HD tie rod ends from ECS. The tie rods were still tight after 8-10k miles when I took it down for stage 3 install.

Take a look at your control arms. If you need them I think ECS sells the HD tie rods and suspension arms as a kit.

Default Yeah, I would rather avoid OEM if possible, I just didn't know if those HD ones were teh suk or not.

Based on your experience, it sounds like they are good. Is there anything weird with the install or do they fit OEM style?
ASW was under there yesterday and didn't say anything about the control arms, how can I check to make sure?

Default TJ: Cool sig :)

Mine are over 5 years old and still holding strong. Easy job to do, nevertheless.

clunking in steering or look for torn rubber bushings at body connection end of arms

I have a set from ECS waiting to be installed on the S4. When I put the subframe back in, they go in

Default I've got them

Feel great, they are noticably beefier than the original tie rod ends, they look like they'll last for a very long time.

I would highly recommend them if your replacing your oem tie rod ends, if for no other reason that they are cheaper than the oem part.
