Default some help please i have a 2000 2.7T and the car squeals very loudly while moving/driving

and is becoming more prominent but stepping on the brakes makes the squeal disappear. I looked at the brake pads they look pretty good.

Anyone, have similar experiences or noises? What is fixes this problem.

I'm thinking about just having the brakes replaced but if it's something else I don't want to waste my funds if it doesn't make the squeal go away.

Default yes, turning actually makes it squeal as well if it's been quite while going straight and it is very

high pitched...sounds like it might be something familiar to you?

Thanks.

Default i had the problem; easy fix!; try anti-squeal from autozone, put on the back of your pads...........

this noise is cause by the pad shimmying while the car (rotor) is turning.. When you apple some pressure to the brakes, the pad is pushed into the rotor, therefore, preventing the shimmy that is causing the squek. You will not notice a change with differen pads.. at least i didnt when i put on wagner thermo-quiets after having hawk hps..
Just get some of that lube from any shop, and put it on the back of the front pads.. tell us how it goes

here is a lsit of the stff you can use, and where you can get it..

Motorcraft Silicone Brake Caliper Grease and Dielectric Compound (XG-3-A); 3 oz tub from ford dealer

Plastilube - from bmw dealer; in packets

Sil Glyde; auto parts stores

Brake paste; Mercedes part number 001 989 10 51,sometimes called copper paste.
MOLYKOTE brake paste from Dow Corning is similar and also recommended

Sharp edges on pads- you could bevel your pads slightly. And yes, use the goop on the backside of the pads.

It's coming from the back wheels, right?

Default I've had the same problem 4 times and its a pebble stuck somewhere between the caliper, rotor or

Brake pad
