Someone please describe the 'sandblaster' sound

Default Someone please describe the 'sandblaster' sound
I turned the radio off tonight and went for a few WOT runs. I heard a sucking noise coming from the center vent region. It was sustained and came on after about 3-4k and remained until I let off the gas. Is this the infamous sandblaster sound, or is something wrong? TIA.

sounds like LOTS of air rushing out of a rain gutter downspout. sound is in the rear.

Default Do the windows have to be open to hear it?
My sound is definitely localized in front of me, and my windows were up.
