Something just doesn't seem right...
I've had my S for about a month now, and have not gotten over 180 miles to a tank yet. Mind you, I do step on the gas a little harder every so often, but I still feel that this should not be happening. What do you guys think it could be?
Also, when I am coming to a rolling stop, with my foot BARELY on the clutch, the car will seem to shudder a bit as if it is hinting at stalling. Comments? Car is an 01.5 with just a hair over 10,000 miles. (ten thousand)

do you drive short distances? Sounds normal...if you wanted good gas mileage you should have bought a civic I get about 200 miles to a tank - i typically drive 5-10 miles at a pop...

2 min drive is bad for the car. atleast take it out when you drive home from your work, you need ...
to get the car to full operating temp. also change the oil more frequent than the manual says. and you should buy VAG-COM.
BTW. you should not use a lot of boost before the engine oil gets warm. otherwise the turbolady (she is bad for your car and takes a huge paycheck to leave your car) will come very soon. you can STFA~search the forum archives for 'turbolady'

The S4 engine tends to "stumble" a bit at idle speeds when not fully warmed up. Driving short
distances (not letting the OIL temp get above 200) and then shutting down is very bad for this engine. You will end up with servere carbon build-up and misfire problems if you don't let her stretch her legs on a regular basis.

Everytime I start the car...
I will never start driving until the RPM needle drops to the idle rev. When I do start driving I ALWAYS make sure that I keep it below boost. Never go past 3000RPM and once that oil needle moves up past 180 is when I start to occasionaly go over. I always give the car about 1.5 minutes to shut down after any sort of driving. I'm not a total noob when it comes to this guys, I did my research and I know what to do. Just had a few questions regarding these things.
