Default Soooo what does AW think of this. Running 4 ik22 denso's with 2 stock plugs.....

Due to a delivery error I got 4 denso iridium ik22's as opposed to 6. I'm tying to solve a problem with high cf's and would like to throw these plugs in on cyl 2 and 5 until I get my other 2 plugs. The ik22 is one heat range colder than the stock ngk's. I think it's a bad idea but I could be wrong. At any rate I'm slightly pissed about this whole thing since I've already waited a week and a half for these plugs to see if it helps solve my problem and it will most likely be another week and a half before I get the other two plugs. Any ideas??

Default I think ik22 denso + high boost = missing ik22 tips.

There were many post about this a while back.

Default Have you tried getting them from autozone or Napa?

Most can get them next-day.

Default agreed. ik22's + high boost = misfire hell for me.

FWIW I did get them at Autozone, they had them in stock, and they took them back when I had misfiring problems.

Default I gotta wait....

I got the plugs wholesale at $6 each and all I had was $40 because I planned on buying all 6. They didn't have change so I gave them the $40 and told them to order me 2 singles instead of a 4 pack. I'm kinda stuck until they can get me the other 2 plugs now.

Default I was stage 2 at the time, so by high boost, I really only meant more than stock.

It may be that others have had problems with them on stock boost levels too though. I'd tread carefully running those plugs.
