Default Sparkplug install nightmare..help..

So I'm backing out the last old plug from drivers side(after successfully installing the other 5), and it's not backing out. It has that crossthreaded feeling...
I bought the car with 39k 2yrs ago. I know the previous owner had the plugs changed once.
I can't get the plug out. It will turn, but not come out. I tried to screw it back down, but no luck. Put everything back together(coilpacks, etc), and it starts and runs fine. No CEL's yet.
I'm thinking I will need a new head. Unbelievable. I know the previous owner had Audi do all the work. I just can't believe that any mechanic would continue to crank down on a plug when you know it's not going in right.
Any suggestions? I have to drive from Chicago to St. Louis tomorrow.
Thanks..

Bring it to a mechanic - make sure not to break it or strip the threads.

Default Right, deep enough socket?

You're doing this on a cold engine right?

Yes and Yes. The other 5 came out fine. I can feel/hear it turning.

Default Part of it may have broke

You may be able to use an easy-out to get the rest out - bring it to mechanic who is familiar with these cars. The last thing you want is a new head. May be a very easy solution.

Thanks. I'll do that. I'm done playing with it, as it will/can only get worse.
