Speedo quit working WTF

okay i washed my car today, and was in line to drive through the car wash for like 30min, it was on and idling the whole time, it never overheated or anything just once i got on the road again the speedo quite working, it would start to work when i would slow down but not at all while cruising or speeding up. any info would be great, also everything else seems to be working fine.

thanks
Danny

Your car is mad that you don't wash it by hand. Sound electical to me

Did they do an underbody wash?

Water might have dribbled onto the wiring harness for the vehicle speed sensor. Wait it out for a few days and see if it dries out and starts working again.

as a matter of fact it did have an under body wash and with all of the salt and stuff on the roads i went over it slowly, what should i do? should i replace anything or will it eventually dry out? what would have happened to it? is it loose do you think?

thanks
Danny

lemme guess

whenever youre on the gas the speedo needle drops. as soon as you let off the throttle, the needle starts reading again?

local guy has the exact same problem. been to dealer a few times. no idea so far.
