Spilled soda on my floor mat....quite a bit actually. Need some help...

STUPID ME....I told myself never to drive with a drink in the car. BTW, those cup trays from fast food restaurants REALLY don't work under high lateral G's.

So I spilled about a 1/2 cup of soda on the floor mat. It dribbled back to the REAR floor mat before I could wipe up most of it. I cleaned up most of it, and my mats stink a little bit.

Is there any place in OC (SoCal orange county) where I can get my interior "carpetting" steamed or washed so I can get some of the stickyness out??? And ballpark figures on prices. TIA. Ugh. =(

Chaka's got a steam cleaner you can probably borrow...

Can take out the front seat to do a more thorough job.

Resolv might help ya... it removes lots of stuff from carpet, just need a little elbow grease ;-)

Porkibear 05-30-2002 02:19 PM

It's more the floor mats than anything, but I'd still like to steam clean the carpets.

I just don't want the seat to start getting loose if we take it out and put it back on.

I guess that would mean I owe him boba. ;)

Chaka, you mind if I take your steam cleaner for a whirl?

Kent L 05-30-2002 02:23 PM

golem's seat don't rock from his seat swap...

You should owe me boba too. Finder's fee and all. :p. I'll talk to him later if you want. I want to steam clean my carpets too. :)

How much is a new one? Or move on to "winter" mats

Porkibear 05-30-2002 02:28 PM

Is it small enough to fit? Portable I mean, or hand-held?

OldSkewS4 05-30-2002 02:28 PM

Soft water cleans better and leaves no residue..

but i'm sure you know that :-P hee hee
