Default Split Downpipes with Jet-Hot Coating

Got the downpipes and sent them to Jet-Hot to get them coated with Jet-Hot 2000 coating in gray (other colors are black and blue). The coating is suppose to be good for temperatures of up to around 2,450 degrees and keeps the outside of the pipes a few hundred degrees cooler. They also coat the inside of the pipe to get better flow through them. Getting them installed this friday.

Jet Hot

Default Interesting...it would be nice to see before and after dyno results on something like this...

heat is the enemy...you reduce it and you make more HP...

Default The coating works really really well.

Imagine popping the hood of a S4 that had just been running hard, and the normal wave of heat just isn't there. Impressive to say the least.

Do your manifolds too!

My S4 makes my garage feel like a sauna after being driven and parked.

Default It's great in the winter, garage is ready to work in in about 30 minutes :)

Seriously, ceramic coated manifolds and wrapped downpipes made an incredible difference, doing both should be even better. I was honestly jealous of the setup I saw.
