Default Stage 3 update

You may recall that previously I posted that the car wouldn't hold constant revs (at idle) with constant throttle. That phenomenon seems to have disappeared after actually driving it on the road for the first time.

I've put about 80 miles on the car so far and have noticed a couple of issues:

1. This morning when it was around 40 degrees out, the car started and idled fine. I let the revs drop to normal and started to pull out of the driveway. I got some serious bucking and misfires when pulling away at my usual 1500 RPM. I had to bring it up to about 2-2.5K RPM to get the car to move. Half way down the street after it warmed up just slightly, it was fine.

2. At around 3200-3500 RPM I'm getting some throttle cut (atleast that's how I describe it) that goes away once I hit 4000 RPM. My initial guess is that the boost is spiking in that region and the ECU is backing off. I'll have to log block 115 to see what's going on.

The car feels tremendously powerful above 4K with a new willingness to rev to redline (only been there once so far). In normal driving I can tell there's more lag. Before my power came on at 2K and now it's probably closer to 3K.

I've got an AWE vent boost gauge I need to install. That'll also give me a clue about what the car is doing between 3K-4K RPM.

Anyone have any ideas on these 2 issues?

then again what the hell do I know I went with AMS stage twelvety-five. do some logs and let us know.

Default guesses: AWE code hates cold and throttle cut

logs will help. you pressure test yet? any codes?

Default youre running AWEs stg3 kit? if youre using the green giant injectors, rotate them 90degrees...

that helped a LOT with my cold misfires...theyre gone. the car would stall out on a cold start before i changed the injectors from stock orientation.

Default Thanks I'll try that when I get a chance to pull it apart.

For now I'll just let the car warm-up for a couple of minutes before pulling away.
