Steering pump noise???

Steering pump noise???
i bought my car with 33K miles... ever since i got it, I heard this noise and I am guessing it's from the steering pump. I hear the noise when the car is starting to move or moving slowly (such as parking) with the steering turned (not till locked.. it happens even halfway..) it's a growning and whining noise. Anyone has the same problem with theirs??

And it's ok?? hmm... well, the pump might have died (due to loss of fluid before you owned the car
Someone had what sounded like marbles in theri engine, and it turned out to be a dead/dying water pump :-o
Dunno what else to suggest :-/
