Default STFA, what spring rates should I get w/ STaSIS Track Sports, Sport Valving?

95% street driving. I want to be able to induce a little power on oversteer w/o my 19mm rear sway. I need to decide quickly.

TIA

Default 600f/700r seems to be a popular choice...

but you may want to go higher, perhaps 700f/800r, if you really want to get the backend to step out on demand. Someone posted a vid a while ago doing powerslide on an empty parking lot, forgot about his exact Tracksport setup, but pretty impressive!

I run a pretty wusspod setup (see sig), but on tight freeway entrance turns at WOT, I can sense the rear coming alive, nothing dramatic or dangerous, just a fairly neutral sensation.

That video was posted by Verruckt who has a 600/700 TS setup.

Default I'm at 700/800 and think it's perfect...

And I, too, am 95% on the street (at least now). You can always make the ride nicer by adjusting the dampener tension (if you have your installer drill holes in the engine bay, as IMO you should). Talk to Ryan at Stasis, he's VERY helpful. Hope I've been a little helpful as well. <

Default I have 700/800.......

I agree with everyhing S4Lynx says. Definitely talk to Ryan at Stasis--he will lead you in the right direction. The 700/800 is fine for me on the street and is great on the track. For me, I wouldn't want anything stiffer on the street, unless I wasn't driving it everyday. FWIW, you can swap out the springs for different rates for free in the first 3 months if you don't like what you have. You will have to pay for another install if your not doing it yourself.

Default If you want a little power on oversteer, buy another car.

By doing that to your S4, I suspect you'll make the chassis very susceptible to swapping ends. That's fine in an empty parking lot, but when you're trying to avoid a deer on the highway, you'll regret it.

Whatever you do, removing the rear sway bar will increase understeer.

Default So...

Going from stock suspension w/ 19mm sway set on hard to STaSIS TS w/ no sway will increase the understeer?

I not a big fan of having a "loose" feeling front end and a "solid" rear (Yeah, I left myself open on this one). The sway bar has never felt right.

Default Thanks guys!

I will be doing the install myself, all but the corner balance and alignment.
