Default stfa'ing right now but wanted to get personal opinions on carbotech bobcat pads

anybody have them and do you like them for street use? i'm afraid the XP series would be too much for my car.

Default just put some bobcats on the rear of the GF's jetta

huge improvement over whatever the hell was on there before. They complement the StopTechs up front very nicely.

Default You put Stoptechs on the GF's car?

Seems like a waste.

Default Bobcats are great for street use.

Expensive, but very good feel.

are you generalizing that it's a waste because she's a girl? or because of the car she drives?

Default In this case....

both. Neither dictates the necessity of a BBK IMO.

Bobcats are fine for the street. Use them or Hawk HPS. The Carbotech XP series are for the track.

Default I disagree...

We bought the car with the StopTechs on there, otherwise she never would have put them on...
But now that she's had them, I don't know that she'll ever want a car without a BBK.

I like that she can stop well because *******s here are forever cutting people off.

She's a very competent driver and cornering/braking/acceleration is important to her. Hell, she's the one that introduced me to Audis.

I agree that a BBK on a Jetta seems a bit overkill, but the way this car is sorted out... it's really a piece of art.

Now I've just got to get her back out to the track.
