Default Stopped by dealer to see about ext warranty options. CA.

Told me not to bother with Audi Assured because it only covers for 2 years.

So they offer Heritage.

For an '01 S4.
60 months (from date of warranty purchase!) (I thought it was odd)
100k mi $2481.00 $50 deductible

72 months $2616.00 $50
48 months $2450.00 (weird huh)

Covers turbos, tranny and everything else. Not sure about things like the sun visor though. Can't see why not.

Comes with towing(100 miles) and trip interruption blah blah. Transferable.

Any ASE mechanic can do repairs.

Car does not need to be pre inspected. Just have to buy it before the 50K is up.

I guess Audis were bumped up a class last year? so they cost like $800 more then they used to for warranties. Doh!

Default you got this from niello?

Niello? I like the guys there, but had one horrible experience... fortunately the GM made up for it.

If the you have a repair done under this extended warranty, do they treat it as if it were the original warranty (minus the deductable)? I just dont want to buy a warranty and then get hassled every time I want something repaired. You gonna jump on this?

Default Yep, went and saw one of the finance guys. (drives a new bimmer, had to give him crap) :)

Yeah..I have not been too happy with the service either. Hassled is a good explaination of the trouble I've had.

But you can have any ASE mechanic do it. I know of a few other shops I will go to for work once I am past std warranty. So I don't always have to choose the dealer.

It should be treated similar to the factory warranty stuff (minus ded). Talk with them. I saw Gabe Garroni the finance manager.

Not sure if I will jump on it yet. Going to look around. I have 3-4 months until I hit 50K I think.

Anything that doesn't require Audi to do the work would be a benefit.

According to this an Audi dealer doesn't, which I like.

Default you're in cali and can get aftermarket warranties?

I heard you couldn't do that, that's cool though.

Through dealers, not just Audi dealers. Not available via the Net.

Gonna be in that area in the next month on the weekends.

Gotta sort something out soon. Got 4K to go.
