Default sub install today...

well I was missing the bass enough that I finaly got up to the task of installing a pair of twelves. They sound nice, but the fact that the factory head unit has no pre amp outs, the amp clips out at high volumes(bogus). Nonetheless, they add some much needed bass to the stock system.
here are some pics from my install...

first, open the trunk...

then, tear it apart...

tapping the oem harness for line out signals, what a pain in the ***, but it had to be done...

put in the subs...

no, wait, first put the trunk back together

now the subs are in...

Thats all I got for now...
as soon as I finish the install with carpet, more wood and mirrors, I will post the final pics.

Default Nice to see someone else using Orion

I have 2 DVC Orion XTR 12s too. In fact everything in my car is orion. Thinking of getting a the small D class (1000) to replace the cobalt 265 I have now... more power!!!!

Don't see too many people use orion on this site. I love the stuff been using it for 10 years. BTW I like your wheels... Tirerack? How are they working for you?
