subaru legacys can get 600hp??

dahlback has a 570hp setup... slvrbullet is probably well beyond 400 as well..
also remember there are less 2.7t's around... tuning them might not be as profitable as with other engines
standard there-will-always-be-someone-faster-out-there disclaimer applys as well..

there may be no kits, but that "kit" doesn't give you that hp...
It says they just claim that their engine build can take it. Like I said you start building an engine from the ground up you can make any engine do that. Hell our stock engine could probably handle 600HP, when I say engine i mean the block like they're advertising.. Now that tranny that's another problem.....

MTM is 420 and I'm sure silver bullet is above 400.
These are all with bolt on parts. You start rebuilding the engine, granted everything would have to be custom at this point, you can make whatever you want.

http://www.hoppenmotorsport.com/420hp.htm</a

True
That Subie short block costs $4,900, parts only. Add to that heads, intake & exhaust manifolds, turbos, ECU, Etc. and you are talking about BIG bucks and a whole new racing engine. I bet doing that with the S4 would cost not too much more. By the way, note that the compression ratio is lowered to 8.5 so that the higher 30 psi boost is possible. You would need to do that to the 2.7tt also to get to those boost levels. That means short block and heads.
