Bad CV?

Just put wheels(Ott. RZ) back on with longer bolts(the correct lenght). Could it be bolts hitting the hub? Weird that it is only on ONE side and all the other 3 are fine.

Sounds suspension related, but not rhythmic like something hitting something at a consistent time. The sound is a clunk/tock like sound.

Any ideas??? I think I'm leaning toward CV, but no boots are torn and no grease is leaking.

I also thought it might be vacuum related since I only heard it upon decel and at -20in of vac. Grasping at straws with this theory I know. Thanks for any input.

Default make sure you torque the wheels with them on the ground.

maybe that wheel is not on the hub correct.

Jack it up and re-tighten

Default JUST had the same problem

I replaced my TBB and it went away. It wasn't torn, but I think it was loose on the under side. I also had power lose, and major clunking. if you dont notice power lose from the start, likely not it.

Default Sound silly but can you check the hub ring again, make sure it seats right and flush to the disk

worth a check though!

Default I think Paul wins....I stopped on the way home tonight and tightened

up the front right. No mas knock. Hope it holds up. Thanks for the suggestion Paul!

You'd think I'd of been able to think of that...doh.

Default this may be crazy but is the wheel balanced properly?

usually youll get a shimmy not a knock, but just a guess...

secondly, this quite obvious but the bolts are the correct thread/length and are tightened all the way?
