a friend of my is getting a 2001 A4 with those new 17" RS4-like wheels, however he is not happy with the gap in the wheel well with the front tires....

what springs do you guys recommend? he probably does not want to get coilovers if he does not need to, so i am assume new springs would do it? can he just put on new aftermarket springs for the front and leave the back stock?

how much would installation be?
i am kinda curious myself, just in case if i need to do some aftermarket suspension work to the S4 when i get it...thanks guys!!

Coilovers are the only way to go! I totally understand your friend's "gap" concerns, but was your friend looking at an aftermarket car, or one on the lot? The dealer adds on a few components before it goes to the buyer, so tell your friend to chill til he gets it...
