Which suspension will give me the best ride-comfort/handling performance ratio?
Trying to decide what setup to go with. From searching the forums, I'm pretty much set on the Stasis TrackSports, but I wanted to pose this question before pulling the trigger on them.
Here is what is NOT important to me:
* "Slamming my car" into the weeds.
* Racing my car on the track.
* Making my suspension so stiff that my fillings come out of my teeth.
Here is what I am looking for:
* No more floatiness when cruising at higher-than-I-should-be-posting-about speeds on the highway.
* Better steering response.
* Less body roll.
* A little more of a drop to make the car look a little less like an All-Road.
I want these things, but it is still very important to me that my car is comfortable enough for 300+ mile trips on the highway, or for normal, everyday, around-town driving. I am willing to pay a premium to avoid problems like "porpoising" or "floating". I want something that is much more responsive and tight than stock, but that has the safe (or better) ride comfort as OEM... is this possible?
Coilovers are NOT a must, but they are ok if that is the best fit for what I am looking for.
I've read a lot of good posts about the Vogtland spring/shock combos... but after looking closer, it looked as if they were all from some guy who was distributing them (very biased IMO), so I am unsure whether to believe those reviews or not.
TIA for the help guys. I know this may be an annoying question to those of you who already have suspension setups, but I appriciate your help/opinions/advice. Thanks again.

i think tracksports would be overkill for what you are looking for (more)...
and that is fine but there are "less performance" suspensions that will fulfill your requirements and cost much less.
what suspension setups have you ridden with or driven?
are you planning on getting sway bars or no?
are you keeping stock wheels for a while, got others, or getting others?
in regards to your asking these questions, nothing wrong with it. if you do a search, you will see that i asked too many questions about it :P
take care.

Believe it or not, I've only ridden on the stock S4 suspension - all of my S4 friends are online :-(
So I don't have anything to compare it to.
To answer your other questions, I have the stock wheels on now, and new wheels are below a lot of other stuff on my "wish list". I had thought about 18" S8 Avus wheels... but again, that would be down the road more. Also, I haven't read alot about sway bars, but if they have good benefits, then I will definitely get them as well.
What type of "less performance" setups would you recommend I look into? It seems hard to judge form the STFA because, like chips, everyone seems to just recommend the ones they have (or have for sale).
