Default Talkative today. Those with Avant, and Frank (WRX) Can you measure

What the length is when you drop the seats down and shut the back. Also width, also is it flat or does it bump up where the rear seats fold down (looking at if one could sleap there instead of pitching a tent).

Thanks

Tory

rear shock towers affect minumum width..and do you want the length from the seat backs to the hatch?

Default you couldn't sleep there... unless you were a small child.

here are the measurements for you:

max width = ~43"
min width = 37"
gate width = 37.5"

total length = 62"
length from gate to narrowing from suspension point = 28"
length of seat backs = 34"

the seats don't have a bump, but they do angle up about 15" or so, but if weighed down, would lay flat. Incline due to seat cushion.

Default 58"x37"

with the seats folded down, there's a lip right below the rear headrest posts

58", from the inside of the gate..

you could move the front seats forward and tilt the backrest forward too..maybe another foot

so 70" total

but there would be an empty space,

between where the back seat ends and the back of the front seat is.

does that make sense?

and the narrowest place between the shock towers is 37" wide

BUT it's fairly flat, with no bump to stick in your back or sides

I've actually slept in my S4 with the seats down. Can't really feel the incline...
