You have to look at your SS to see which shifter they put in there. The exact build date when they switched over to the newer shifter is somewhat of a mystery. AWE mentions 2/01 on their website, however my car has a build date of 12/00, and it has the newer shifter.

I don't have the SS yet, just prospecting. How do I know if I have the newer shifter?

Default be very carefull the edge is nasty but yes grab the front and YANK straight up....
iv'e bruised my fingers a couple times so just get a good grip.

Got it. Old style shifter so I guess I'll have to look farther than AWE for a tanoga.
