is there any list of bits, sockets and other tools needed for the S4? not for any specific project..

I have $150 credit at sears, I already have some basics, but what else would be good to have?

I already have ramps, jacks, jack stands, standard and metric sockets/wrenches. I know a bunch of people to borrow from too.

What size torx are used on the S4? Brake related tools? What about for working on/pulling apart the interior?

Just get all metric stuff: box wrenches, sockets (deep/regular), torx (15-30), hex keys, etc...

Steve is right on...it's going to be cheaper to buy a set from sears though

if you plan on changing your plugs or doing DP's get a long ass extension and also get a magnetic wand !

I just got a set of 5-pliers and 18-screwdrivers yesterday. Pliers are on sale for $30. usu $50. SDs

were $20.

Here's a few tools I really like.

The best tool going is the 8mm wrench, the one with the socket feature. It is especially useful for the ECU bolts. A torx and hex wrench kits are nice too. I got a $250 gc for sears for christmas and I went out and bought massive tool chest and a 151pc. set of tools. Granted it cost well over $250, but I can't imagined how I survived without it.
