Is there anything better than OEM for conrol arms and tierod ends?

I mean is there performance or forged versions or basically some kind of upgraded versions of these parts since Ill be replacing them anyway and warranty will hopefully pick up the tab.

Blau was just advertising a sale on control arms. Don't know how good they are though.

I thought the Febi Bilstein kits PureMS sells were top notch?

good prices, but not as cheap as the Italian parts others sell.

Anyone make quality TRE's like CPP used to?

MikekiM@PureMS 03-25-2009 07:06 PM

Stock S4 TRE's are pretty good. They've been updated a couple times through the years and are quite good. They're standard issue on all the new models. We recommend them for all the older B5's and C5's as a nice upgrade.

I cracked my stock TREs, and I think that's a pretty common issue for road racers. I picked up a set of CPPs a while back and they've held up really well. That's why I'm wondering if anyone's got something comparable.

MikekiM@PureMS-what do you mean you reccomend them as an upgrade. Are you saying the ones I would order from the stealership for my B% right now would be different and improved than the originals that came from the car? Thanks for the info
Also what are your thoughts on the adjustable controle arms? Are they a vast improvement? Or could they easily be adjusted incorrectly and hurt performance?

Correct. They have been modified and improved in over the course of the last 7 years your car was last made.

The adjustment they provide is excellent and they are indeed a great improvement over the stock arms thanks to the adjustability they offer. A good alignment shop won't have any problems dialing these in to whatever alignment numbers you wish.

You can go full spherical if you want razor-edged response: http://www.034motorsport.com/product...ducts_id=18307

These press into stock arms, fully rebuildable, and use high quality, huge, teflon lined spherical bearings.
