Is there anyway to repair a dead pixel in the cluster besides replacing the whole cluster?

Default Is there anyway to repair a dead pixel in the cluster besides replacing the whole cluster?

I've got strings of dead pixels on the info. panel of my cluster.

Is there anyway to repair or replace the information panel without replacing the cluster?

Seems like it should be easy enough to pop in a new panel or even solder one in if it's soldered. I guess the hard part would be sourcing a LCD panel with the dimensions and red/yellow illumination.

Wasn't an engineering student working on a fix awhile back? He was trying to replace the driver.

Mine immediately looked worse when I moved from Philly to Dallas. This was in the month of May.
