Default those with low profile tires...

I have 19" and one of my wheels keeps losing air. Must be some sort of leak like a nail keeping it from going flat asap..but will do so slowly.

Anyway, was wondering if any here had experience where you can patch this thing up. Is it too much of a performance tire and too low profile to patch up? Also, does this damage after repair render this thing unsafe for performance driving?

Thanks in advance.

Any repair to a Z-rated tire will make it at best H-rated (180 km/h or around 120 miles per hour). Look at the Rubber Manufacturer's Association web site. They have a ton of info and white papers on all kinds of tire related topics. http://www.rma.org/

I would not bother to repair it - but that is just me. I wear them out within 9k to 12k miles anyway, so what is the point?!?

Default i wouldn't track a patched tire however....

i'm not sure how well those plugs and patches are able to hold up under harsh conditions at a track.

be careful.
