For those of you who have run Toyo T1S - I heard they are noisy - true?

Most big, wide sport tires are noisy. Especially on the S4! I have T1-S on my S4 and my...
Scirocco. I never really noticed the road noise on the Scirocco because it's a lot lighter and the engine/exhaust noise is more than the S4. The T1-S tires on the S4 are kind of noisy. On smooth pavement it's not bad but the roads around here (Seattle-Tacoma area) suck. Especially I-5 where the concrete is worn down to the stones.
I've heard sport tires will get noisier with age/wear too. The Michelin Pilot Sport tires I took off my S4 were horrible. I thought I had bad wheel bearings they were so loud!

No, they're not "noisy" relatively speaking. In fact....
I just switched back to the T1S after having my Dunlop Winter sport tires on for the winter. Usually, the winter tires are much quieter because there's more rubber but, honestly, the T1S wasn't any louder...at least not that I could notice.
I wouldn't sweat it if you choose to get them. The S4 is a "loud" car in other areas besides tires - wind noise at highway speed for one. The tires are a small part in comparison.
