Which throttle body? RS4, W8, or 40v 4.2?
 

Hey, I am new to the boards but have been looking around at my throttle body options. I am building a 3.0 stroked APB engine with AHA heads and RS4 intake manifold. I am trying to figure out a way to not spend 1000 bucks on a throttle body. I have heard that several other 75mm throttle bodies will work such as the W8 4.0 and quite possibly the 40V 4.2 throttle body. I looked up the part numbers and they all vary slightly. The Rs4 part number is 077 133 062 while the W8 throttle body is 07D 133 062 and the 40V throttle body is a 077 133 062(A)? I just don't want to to spend money on the wrong one as most of these parts are not returnable. Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

The early 40V V8 throttle bodies share the same part number as the RS4, IIRC many people have substituted the 40V 4.2 T-body in leau of an OE RS4 unit with noe problems at least that I've heard of.
