throttle is very rough as i pass 1400- 1800 rpms. no cel. what could be the cause?

throttle is very rough as i pass 1400- 1800 rpms. no cel. what could be the cause?
i noticed it last night when i put the car into chipped mode, but it was under load, and alot higher in the rpm range. now it is just plain scaring me. i coulnd't hit the gas w/out it happening.
car is back to stock boost. was crusing at 35mph in 4th. just now when it happend,about 2000rpms
it is like a hiccup or misfire. car loses power.

used to only happen under load, as in 3rd gear pull to redline, car would have like a clunk mid way
though the power band, may be one more before 6500rpm. today just cruisin it just choked twice back to back and i let off the gas. soon as i press the gas it did it again. what the hell?
it is getting me pissed off, because there should be nothing wrong with my car i just got it back after 3 fu*king months in the shop.
it didn't do it before the shop touched it and when i brought it to them last week for this problem it didn't do it.(of course) i really would rather them never touch MY car ever again, but thats another story.
