Is there a story behind this?

Default Thumbs up is just plain geeky.

At least that is what my Daughter said to me when I told here I had done that to another S4 on the freeway.

She then proceeded to give me a lesson on the "cool" way to do it.

First, you gotta sit low with your shoulders *in* the seat, away from the steering wheel. A slightly reclined seatback is also recommended.

Next, you grasp the top of the steering wheel with your left hand (only). Right hand/arm should be resting on armrest or shifter (I almost said "stick" but thought the better of it)

Now here is the tricky part, you slowly turn your head, scan the other car front to back (like your checking out the wheels and car), *then* look up at the driver and nod your head in an approving manner. But don't smile!

*That* is the cool way to acknowledge another car ;-)
