Timing Belt Replacement w/ Warranty
My S4 came w/ a 100,000 mile extended warranty when I purchased it used. It is now at about 68,000 miles and I was wondering if anyone has any advice as to when I should do the timing belt replacement. Should I still do it early (as is commonly recommended here) or should I wait until the Audi suggested mileage, just in case it goes early and i can get all the work/replacements done for free?

CPO? (what i was told inside)
my S4 is CPO'ed (2 yrs. or 100k, whichever comes first)
I inquired about TB w/a service advisor once and was told if it snapped during the CPO period it was covered - -
TB failure= MAJOR damage
it seems most guys do TB between 60-80k
I just turned 75k and will be doing mine soon
(correct me if i'm wrong here... I'm not the most mechanically inclined guy here)

I have an aftermarket warranty. TB is not covered unless it breaks. I got somewhat lucky
and had the thermostat fail. The cost for that was about $750 which was covered by warranty and I paid an additional $350 to cover the water pump & TB. The additional labor wasn't very much since they have to tear the front off the car anyways so I basically just had to pay for the parts.

My B5 Passat has a factory 100k/10 yr warranty and I'm waiting until like 98k to replace the TB just
in case something else goes first. The only reason for doing TB early is to protect yourself and your cash; if you get a new engine if the TB goes, why pay extra to limit Audi's liability?
