Default Tip transmission/diff rear seal leak...anyone replace rear seal ???

I got the car up on a nice lift this morning and found out, as suspected, I am losing gear oil past the seal on the back of the transmission/diff housing e.g. the last seal before the first prop shaft flange. I also found a missing bolt on the heatshield that bolts to the back of the transmission.

I got the fill plug out with a struggle and topped up the fluid to the plug level for now for insurance. (75W-90 synthetic)

I can get the lift again and plan on replacing the seal myself.(I have a seal in hand) Here is the question... can you get enough access if you just disconnect front prop shaft flange and center bearing or do you need to remove it completely. I have seen mixed info.

Thanks.

Default If the prop shaft on a Tip is bolt in you can do it on the car(6sp is held on with circlip inside

tranny/torsen housing). Make sure you use a seal press to push it in or you'll end up doing it multiple times like someone I know<looks around>.

Can't shadetree these...
