Josh S4

My Potenza RE040's are finally looking like they need some replacing. I see a lot of you recommend the S-03, but my friend recommended the Ecsta MX. Any thoughts or comments or any other recommendations? Thanks

I'd say if money is a factor at all just get the MXs. You'll be plenty pleased. They probably arent as good in the wet as the S03s, but I would say they are at least as good in the dry.

As far as NVH goes it seems the S03s are hit or miss from one person to the next. I always thought my S03s were very quiet and I'd say the MXs are about the same, tough to say since they have track time on them, but they were quiet before that. Ride quality is about even, maybe even a tiny bit better with the MXs.

Overall the S03 is probably a slightly better tire, but not worth the cash IMO. Their are better all rounders available now anyway. The GS-D3 and PS2 are both probably better tires.
