Going to Blue Grass Motorsports, Louisville, Kentucky to make a deal on a black/black. If anyone has any comments or suggestions before I go, feel free. I have not negotiated a price yet and I do not have any experience with the dealer. I live 100 miles away so I do not want to make too many trips from home.

So you can walk if they start trying to jerk you around with one of these "market value adjustments."

Is your loan pre-approved? If you can walk in there with a site-draft, and show it to your sales guy, and say "I'm ready to buy a car *today*, here's my site-draft. I've got 3 other dealers ready to give me MSRP. Do you want to sell a car today, or not?"

The sales guy really will be on your side if he believes you're going to walk - he gets a pretty healthy commission on an MSRP sale, so he'd rather have that than nothing.

You need to *really* be prepared to just say "sorry." and leave if you want to pull this off, and to do that, you really need to know you have other options.
