Torn TBB ...
I was down at the dealer getting my Radio replaced and a new fuel sender for my lazy gas guage. I had ordered the updated boot and was prepared for paying out of pocket to ahve them install it. After removing my old TBB there was a small tear about the size of a pencil eraser on the inside with a tiny hole about the size of a pencil point that extended all the way through to the outside.
upshot is that I got the new boot for free and also found out that my dealer is OK with the Bailey valves. In fact he said that the service rep. was there yesterday asking about them.
BTW the freaking radio did NOT fit!!
it had about a 1/4" over lap at the bottom with the HVAC controls. ARGGH!!
4 months onn backorder and they send my a part that doesn't fit or was meant for a MY 2001!!!

T, L I don't remember, I had the "old" version replaced with the new. I guess '01 radios are shaped
a little bit different. The rectangle of the face plate is just a little bit taller than mine. either that or this is from an A6 or some Sh*t!!!

When i changed it to the "T" one
I had the chip for about 1 month before i swapped it out.....you know what happens when we chip too....BOOST BABY BOOST. Still no tears.....i think the free flowing exhaust helped the whole situation<p>-Cheng
