Default toyguy shifter doesn't fit.....

Tell me if I have this hooked up wrong?

The only way to get the shifter **** to fit is if the shifter is taller than the stock hieght.

What mechanism makes the car go into reverse? I bought this toyguy shifter from the classifieds and I think I got hosed.

You need to trim the plastic piece that is sitting on top of the nut.

Default Yes you definately need to trim the plastic piece....

you definitely didn't get hosed But I am glad you finally got it!

Its not shortened below stock you can actually raise it above stock its just that the two nuts get into the way of the plastic piece. Which really isn't needed anyways.

If you want it to be stock height loosen the nut and use the threads to raise it up a bit...It is threaded pretty far into the alumn. piece.

Hope that helps!
