ASP Sauce - How accurate is the customized peak and taper?
Guys who have customized their peak and taper with ASP how close to what you specified is the actual boost? For example if you wanted 16 peak taper to 12 (K03s) does it spike to 18 or hold true to 16.
I am thinking of getting something mild to help save my K03s (75K miles on them). Can I put my confidence in the customized software or am I better off getting an MBC, or even a mild chip like MTM.

Its gonna be pretty darn exact, assuming you dont have a boost leak. I'd recommending calling them
Keep in mind that what your boost gauge shows isnt exactly a scientific measurement, but if you were to log, the highest requested boost should not exceed whatever value they set in the file the give you.
Mark and Frank are very helpful. Call them and they will explain how their software works in a detailed manner that is understandable to the common person. Their standard tune runs very strong and very smooth. Its like MTM and GIAC had a lovechild.
As for the MBC, I had a VAST MBC (parallel) in my car when I ran GIAC. I left it in when I switched to ASP, but had it turned up past what the ASP spikes to. Anyway, I used to get a strange overspin sound even at sub 0psi boost levels. After I took the MBC out, the sounds stopped. Also, the car feels better than before (although with the temperature dropping and me installing a new coolant temp sensor recently, I cant say what the biggest factor is)
Needless to say, I think mine was leaking.
