Default Transmission Fluid Recommendations

Hi. I am looking to replace the fluid in my transmission and diff.

I've searched the forums and i can't for the life of me find any discussion about which one to use and preferred weights in all that.

I figured it must have been discussed before, so any help pointing to an existing threads is much appreciated.

If not, What do you guys recommend for the transmission and differential?

how do you need? and what weight?

LucasOil? Redline? RoyalPurple?

thanks!

Default Redline and Motul are popular. 75W90.

I can't remember off the top of my head, but either the rear diff or tranny has brass and requires a higher spec than the other. I seem to remember that the motul meets both those specs. I'm sure others will chime in.

Default Royal Purple Synchromax Man Trans Fluid - anybody used that before?

Amazon is suggesting that people who bought the gear oil ALSO bought the synchromax stuff...

do you use both? like an additive? one or the other?

how often should you change the rear fluid?<ul><li><a href="http://www.amazon.com/Royal-Purple-Synchromax-Manual-Transmission/dp/B000BQJ59A/ref=pd_bxgy_auto_text_b">http://www.amazon.com/Royal-Purple-Synchromax-Manual-Transmission/dp/B000BQJ59A/ref=pd_bxgy_auto_text_b</a</li></ul>

I've used both Redline 75W90/MT90 and Motul 300. Couldn't tell the difference.

Redline MT90 or MTL in the tranny. Redline 75W90 in the rear diff.

I used redline in my 20th. That was a serious improvement. Im going to use it on my new car as well. Since this isn't to far off topic, how much fluid does our cars take?
