Transmission GL-4 or GL-5 ???
I seach through the threads and I see lots of confusion about whether the transmission requires GL-4 or GL-5.
I see some saying it is GL-5 and others saying GL-4. Some people have used Red Line MTL/MT-90 (GL-4) and others LightWeight ShockProof (GL-5).
So is it GL-4 or GL-5 ???

Thread hijack - did you get your vacuum leak fixed OK and could you hear the leak with engine idling
I could hear a sucking sound like vacuum leak while chaging oil this weekend - sounded like it was coming from near the BPV's. I might just be paranoid and it could just be the electronic butterfly valve operating normally, but it seemed much louder than I have ever noticed B4. Car seems to run fine and no MIL/CEL - but that doesn't mean anything...

does anyone know what the G 052 911 A means?
is that just an Audi part # or do those mean anything in oil spec speak?

Yes. I replaced the check valve under the PCV valve. It was cracked and leaking.
I removed the Y-Pipe to get access to it, but it was pretty easy. Did a pressure test afterwards, and no leaks.
