Default true or false...

"MBC do not blow turbos."

i was having a discussion with a few friends, and said id do not want to run MBC/EBC only because of the risk of blowing a turbo or damaging engine if its on full blast.

they both replied (eerily in unison) that MBC/EBCs do not blow turbos they blow engines...
i was under the impression that greater psi = greater chance of popping a turbo?

Both , just having a manual boost controller will not blow a turbo , but being stupid enough to not know how to set and dialing too much boost would. In my 20+ years of building and tuning turbo cars i have never seen a properly installed and configured boost controller blow anything up. If you plan on running one , don't be a dummy buy a good boost gauge and keep an eye on it , you should have 0 problems down the road.

Default I think you may both be right. Can def blow motors. Think of this, if you start to get knock for

whatever reason (bad gas, carbon build up that is out of your control) your car will back off boost. With the MBC, your car cannot do this. You are taking that risk.

Default Correct: def timing. You are right (even though you replied in the wrong spot lol) Yes I should have

said timing will come first however, I do believe that are time when the engine will also back off boost in addition to timing.

Default I would say false because it helps regulate how much boost you have in the end. Chips sometimes

spike. You don't really see that with a MBC typically.

Seems like you guys are really against boost controllers of any kind , maybe they are a little too advanced for you guys ,i think you should stick to chips and more stockish setups.

id rather not go the route of any bc, and boost gauge. but if this is whats needed then i guess i have to maybe an electronic boost gauge in the speedo may do.
