Default Turbo Timer/Boost Gauge

A few days ago, there was a thread about the HUD boost gauge/turbo timer unit available from Mach V Motorsports. However, I'm not sure I'm sold on the Heads Up Display concept (just personal preference).

Does anyone know if other companies make a combination timer/Gauge that does not feature a HUD? And, has anyone had success installing them?

TIA,
Blake

Default There are a few. The Blitz Dual comes to mind.

What I'd really like is a combo timer/gauge with an analog gauge.

could you please give us more info.
This is exactly what I was looking for.
What does it cost and where can I find it?
Also with the install, what does it cost?
Thanks,
I never got around to this until now.

Default Just installed my Greddy Turbo Timer this weekend (timer only, no boost gauge)

Thanks to J Reedy's instructions (see Tech/Electronics), knowing which panels to take out (and how) made a big difference. The only problem I had was figuring out which Red wire to strip for the constant 12V power to the timer. J Reedy suggested looking by the ignition area, but I found that a bit difficult in terms of access. So I decided to pick one wire, strip it, and check for continuity to the + battery line. That made me feel much better in knowing that I cut the right line. The installation took 4 hours! Ouch.

Default Multi meter and a pin works as well. That is what I did.

There are also pictures of the wires here in my turbo timer install...all thanks do go to James Reedy's initial instructions thoguh.

Default I don't know. I don't have one. (more)

I would guess it'd cost $100-150 or something like that. It's about the same size as the cupholder, so some people have chosen to put it there. The install shouldn't be any more difficult than installing the two individually (i.e. not bad if you're decent with your hands).
