Turbos suddenly sound like police siren...should I be scared...
This AM, got in car at started down road, as soon as hit gas a little, LOUD siren-type sound matching engine revs. Turbo's always made a slight sound, but not like this. I am fearful of turbo failure. Car seems to run OK though.

Don't worry, several people have the same sound - I've had it for 22K miles.
Are you chipped? This will increase the sound level. It should go away when warm.
If the turbos are going you will know it.

My turbos whizz quite loudly for the first 5 minutes
then they calm down a bit, but I love the sound, and the car feels faster now than it ever did. I think it's finally broken in at 13k miles. It took my A4 like 15k miles before the engine felt really good.
