my hazards still work normally, but my turn signal seems to just light up and stay lit when i have the stalk on either direction. it just doesn't flash or click.

i did find a fix for this... opening and closing the passenger side front door.. what is loose? or is this just bad audi electronics?

The dealer had to reinstall the blinker switch and relay.

The turn indicator relay is a little bit of a weakling. It tends to "stick" (relay contacts fusing together) easily, and mostly mechanical force releases it quickly and easily without any harm. I like your quick fix, however... I just replaced the stupid relay.

If I remember correctly, the relay is about $35 - way overpriced. I'd try to get the same relay at a VW dealer. If you want, I can find out part number and send it to you. Install is about an hour because I had to go behind the instrument cluster (i.e. take it out and put back in). I do not know whether there is a better or faster way. I can look it up in Bentley, but I think they suggested the same method.
