Default Ugh. Pics of the aftermath from the trip to the drag strip 2 weeks ago.

Once again sh!tty cam phone pics.

So last week my clutch starts feeling very wierd and there is a ton of noise/chatter coming from the clutch/tranny area. Here is what we found.

Hmm.... looks like there is something in 2 of the bolt holes in the crank that shouldn't be there.

Maybe the other 1/2 of these 2 bolts......

You can see all the pitting in the inside of the FW from the bolts bouncing around.

So the clutch disk is also fvcked. The way that 1 of the bolts broke made it hard to get out, luckily it finally came out. It would have sucked to have needed a new crank if that bolt didn't come out.

Default How the ???

That is absolutely bizarre. Never saw crank bolts snap before. I've seen Pressure Plate bolts back themselves out but never crank :/

Sorry to see it. That was a beautiful clutch/PP. What are your plans now?

Default Luckily the PP is fine and the FW is still usable.

So I am going to go with the clutch you were going to get.
