UH OH.. Five minutes with my new APR emcs and I think I blew my TBB (question to follow)
I was doing abt 4000 rpm in 4th gear and I felt a sudden loss of power, almost like severe hesitation. This hesitation was in conjunction with a whooshing sound. Does this sound familiar. your comments will be greatly appreciated. (13700 uneventfull miles so far)<p>APR ECMS

I think I know what you mean.
Same thing has happened to me 3 times, latest was tonight in third gear at 3500 rpm. I also noticed yesterday that in 2nd gear, I could not make the car rev more than 4000 rpm (i.e. nothing happened when pressing harder on the gas), the tach just rested on 4000 and the car did not go any faster.
The car was cold for both events and I was not able to make either event happen again during the same trip.
I have the EMCS chip for the A6 2.7T.

Only way is to check it. 12.95 from clair...or MAYBE the silicone one that was discussed today....=)

I will check it later. I keep a spare in the trunk. got it with spare ecu (more)
Do you know of any other problem that might cause similar symptoms. the power loss was real sudden and it was intermittent.

What would be the cause..could it be that the new emcs program has not had a chance to adjust to the gas and ambient temp/pressure.
